On the anniversary of the BATTLE OF MARENGO, fought on June 14, 1800 during the second Italian campaign, among the French troops of the Reserve Army, led by the First Consul NAPOLEON BONAPARTE, the city of Alessandria offers a unique tourist-artistic proposal, mixing tourism, the Arts and the gastronomic and commercial excellence of the territory, with refinement.

Arrival by own means in the late morning at the Relais Rocca Civalieri in Quattordio (AL). Reception and free time for lunch.
At 1.45 pm transfer to Alexandria for the guided tour of the historic center with particular attention to the Art Rooms, which houses the splendid cycle of frescoes inspired by the stories of King Arthur, Palazzo Cuttica, Palazzo Ghilini, the Cathedral of St. Peter, the mosaic by Gino Severini, founder of the Futurist Manifesto, which adorns the Palazzo delle Poste and Palatium Vetus.
At 6.00 pm transfer to the Marengo Museum, welcome drink and guided tour with theatrical animation. During the visit to the rooms of the Marengo museum we will have “living pictures” of artists who will accompany the guests and give life to the exhibition to transport the guests in the suggestion of the Court of Napoleon
The scenes during the visit will be:
– the harp and chamber music
– dramatic duo: two actors play the scene of the soldier who, leaving for the front of the Battle of Marengo, greets the beloved woman (the scene is available in Italian, English and French)
– solo flute or piccolo who incites the office in the Battle of Marengo
– duo of ballet dancers in “Degas” tutus interpreting a step-by-step on music from the early 1800s
Continuation of the evening with the tasting of a splendid dinner from the Napoleonic-inspired menu with traditional dishes and local products. While the guests taste the Napoleonic menu proposed on the second floor of the Museum of Marengo harp and flute will perform music from the repertoire of the court of Napoleon. The pieces played, danced and recited will all be from the Napoleonic era or referring to Napoleon and his court.
At the end of the evening, transfer to the Relais Rocca Civalieri for overnight stay.
Saturday 15 June
Breakfast at the hotel and at 10:00 transfer to the Serravalle Designer Outlet. Full day available for shopping in one of the largest North Italy Outlets. Free lunch.
At 5.30 pm transfer to the Relais Rocca Civalieri.
At 7:00 pm gourmet dinner at the Relais restaurant and concert of an Italian author’s music show. Lyric concert with songs such as: “Il Brindisi” from the opera “La Traviata” by G. Verdi, “La donna è mobile” from the opera “Rigoletto” by G. Verdi, “Una Furtiva Lagrima” from the opera “L ‘ Elisir d’amore “by G. Donizetti,” O Sole Mio “,” Torna a Surriento “,” Santa Lucia “,” With you partirò “by A. Bocelli,” Miserere “by Zucchero,” Volare “by D. Modugno , “Nessun dorma” from the opera Turandot by G. Puccini

Sunday 16 June
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the Mazzetti Distillery of Altavilla (grappa distillers since 1846) for a guided tour of the structure and an explanation of the slow and accurate grappa distillation process. During the guided tour of the Distillery an arched instrumentalist follows the group with musical moments in suggestive points of the location. At the end of the visit, a short solo instrument concert in the park before lunch at the Distillery restaurant with famous pieces of classical music and film music.
At about 13:00, lunch with local menu and, later, grappa tasting at the showroom with the possibility of delicious purchases. In the afternoon, transfer to the Relais Rocca Civalieri and end of our services.
